1. Hospitality & Business Programs

Our hospitality all-inclusive programs are available to participants all year round. Program lengths can range from 4.5 to 12 months and the programs are available in Rooms Division, Food and Beverage, Culinary Arts and Management Internship Trainees.

The partners of Odyssey International can sponsor self-placed candidates who have a placement in Hospitality, Business Management, Finance, Accounting, HR, IT, Fashion and others.

1.1 J-1 Hospitality Programs

Our signature hospitality all-inclusive programs provide access to hundreds of hospitality internship and trainee positions within many different international hotel chains and luxury independent hotels and resorts.

1.2 J-1 Business Programs

Our business all-inclusive programs take a different approach. Our teams will find a personalized J-1 internship or trainee program in the United States, based on the candidate’s eligibility and preferences.

1.3 J-1 Self-Placed Programs

This program is available to participants who already have secured a placement in the United States. Through our partners, we provide them with the J-1 Intern or Trainee visa sponsorship.

1.4 J-1 Visa Eligibility

Internship Program:
The J-1 internship program is intended for college students or recent graduates to build on their education foundation through cultural exchange. By completing an internship program in the United States, alumni of ITN's J-1 Intern program will gain practical experience in the American approach to management.

To be eligible for a J-1 Intern Program, you must be between the ages of 18 - 35 and meet ONE of the following criteria:

  1. A current student at an accredited program pursuing a degree at the Associates level or higher. OR
  2. A graduate who has received a degree within the last 12 months. This degree must be from an accredited program at the Associates level or higher.

Trainee Program:
The J-1 traineeship program is designed for young professionals and recent graduates with work experience in their field of interest. J-1 Trainees are looking to propel their careers, gain experience in American management, and hone their skills through an advanced training program.

To qualify for a J-1 Traineeship Program, participants must between the ages of 18 - 35 and meet one of the two criteria:

  1. A graduate from an accredited institution at the Associates level or higher with at least 12 months of related work experience outside of the United States. OR
  2. A young professional with at least 5 years (60 months) of experience in their field of interest.

2. J-1 Camp Counselor Programs

Provides high-quality educational and recreational opportunities and enjoyable experiences for camp participants. Supervises campers and ensures their safety, development, growth, skill achievement, and general well-being. Maintains a schedule for camp participants Our partners can also sponsor self-placed candidate who have a placement in an American host camp.

2.1 Camp Counselor All-Inclusive Program

The program includes everything from matching the candidate with one of our host camps partners to all the necessary documents, insurance and support you need to arrive successfully at camp and have an unforgettable summer!

2.2 Camp Counselor Self-Placed Program

This option is for applicants who already have an offer from a host camp and need our partners sponsorship in order to obtain a DS-2019. Whether you are a first-time counselor or returning to the same camp for your 5th season, we can provide you all the necessary documents and support to secure your J-1 visa and arrive successfully at your camp!

2.3 J-1 Visa Eligibility

Camp Counselor Program:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Fluency in English, as determined by an English interview conducted by Odyssey International partners Camp staff member.
• Proof of your status as a youth worker, student, teacher, or individual with specialized skills.
• At least two references from a current or past employer or teacher attesting to your suitability to participate in the program. If you are qualifying based on a specialized skill, at least one of your references should focus on your skill.
• Arrival funds in the amount of a minimum of $1,500 USD to be used if needed.
• Criminal background check from your home country dated within the last 6 months.
